Personal presentation

Hello,

I travel thanks to my job, cabin crew. I cross the world for years, and my father being a paraglider, I decided to put myself in it too! I played with his wing during 3 years in the garden, and one day I decided to go there. As a result, in 2009 I made my training course, in Reunion island as long as to make! At the beginning, I flew on Baïgura in the Basque Country, my region of origin, south west of France. Then I am left living in the Hautes-Pyrénées. From there I discovered other spots: Campan, Valley Louron, St Lary, Luchon and as soon as I went to Reunion island, I took advantage of St Leu's enjoyments.

In 2012, I went to Rio for the carnival. And for once, I had taken my wing with me because I knew that we could fly over there! Once there, I looked for information, I went on the landing place, I discussed with Brasilian peoples, but also foreign paragliders in vacancy. Then I decided to try too! And after three small flights, the view on Rio, the landing area on the edge of beach, the atmosphere, the meetings... I am gone back home with this feeling of happiness, of " I made it ", images height the head, the souvenir of these meetings with Brazilians, it was simply magic!

Further to this flight, it was clear, I had to renew this experience as quickly as possible! And I began to look on every stopover where I could steal. But my sail took up some room, and I had difficulty in finding information on the sites of flight abroad. I used of paragliding map ( paraglidingearth.com ) to find sites. But it is good to know that they are there, it is again necessary to go to it. And there, one make on the spot, when I end up alone in the take-off, I make what I go there, I go there not not knowing the information of the site, I revised my way of trying to fly abroad. I looked on the forums, on the blogs, for information and especially for the experiences of people which had already flown from it. I also used couchsurfing to find people which know well spots. I contacted schools, or those who go to it regularly. I looked for information on the sites where I was soon going to surrender. I looked at videos on You tube, contacted their owner always in search of more information!

Then on the forums, other paragliders looked for the same information as those whom I had combined. I also met colleagues in my job, paragliders, who wanted too information, and who gave me others onto the spots which I did not know. From there, I wondered how to collect all this information, which I tidied up in dress handkerchiefs, and to share them with those who would need it: internet was the only solution. I thus decided to create this website which, so that those who wish it, find information to help them to prepare their journey. I have no experiences on the website design, I make quite a lot of faults, especialy in English witch is not my mother tong, but I do my best. I hope  that will help you to travel better!

Today, I invested in a light paraglide, mountain staff. One Gin Yeti 28m2, with his reversible harness who fallow me for every journey. In my bag there is also a vario beep, an anemometer, a gopro, a pen, a small notebook, a reserve, and my helmet. The whole for less of 10Kg. I have, in June 2013, approximately 200 flights, on more than 30 different spot. Figure growing very fast since.

I begin to have an attractive circle of contact all around the world, which facilitates me enormously the discovery of new spots. I have even in my tour found by myself some new spots never explored. And if I do not fly, I make some training with my glide, I make visit, I meet people … The most beautiful in this sport conjugated to my job, it is to go out of the big city and to meet, to share, to exchange with those who live on-the-spot. And it is really what it of more extraordinary there!

Fascinated, I hope I can help you, or simply I make you travel a little the rainy days...

In the pleasure to cross you one day on a spot of flight,

Aurélien
